Syffer is seeking an experienced Application Architect to design scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices. You will lead architecture decisions, align with security and quality standards, and collaborate with stakeholders across delivery teams.

Responsibilities include defining technical specifications, API strategies, and DevOps practices while ensuring GDPR compliance.

Qualificações

• Experienced Application Architect with cloud-native, scalable designs.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and asynchronous integrations.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Translate business requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, security, and best practices.
• Familiar with DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, and Event Sourcing.
• Knowledge of IAM, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure design.
• Experience with MongoDB, data modelling, CI/CD, DevOps, and GDPR compliance is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• EU citizenship is required for EU projects.

• Produce clear, implementation-ready technical specifications and architectural documentation.
• Ensure solutions comply with architectural standards, security requirements, quality standards, and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams through the software delivery lifecycle.
• Guide and support development teams during implementation, ensuring alignment with target architecture.
• Design and review microservices-based, cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Define API strategies using REST (OpenAPI) and event-driven integrations using AsyncAPI.
• Promote software engineering best practices, DevOps principles, and CI/CD processes.
• Ensure GDPR/EUDPR compliance where applicable.
• Review technical designs, identify risks, and propose improvements for scalable, secure solutions.

What You'll do:

• Define the functional and technical architecture for enterprise applications and digital solutions.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Guide and support development teams during implementation, ensuring alignment with the target architecture.
• Design and review microservices-based, cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Define API strategies using REST (OpenAPI) and event-driven integrations using AsyncAPI.
• Promote software engineering best practices, DevOps principles, and CI/CD processes.
• Ensure solutions comply with European data protection regulations (GDPR/EUDPR) and security standards where applicable.
• Review technical designs, identify architectural risks, and recommend improvements to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Who You Are:

• Experienced Application Architect with a strong background in designing scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs (OpenAPI), and asynchronous integrations (AsyncAPI).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Able to translate business and functional requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, application security, and development best practices.
• Familiar with architectural patterns such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, and Event Sourcing (desirable).
• Knowledge of IAM, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure application design (desirable).
• Experience with MongoDB, data modelling, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and GDPR/EUDPR compliance is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide development teams and ensure successful solution delivery.
• Must hold European Union citizenship, as the role supports European Union projects.
