Datamentors is a robotics startup in Madeira building an agnostic orchestration platform and robots. You will own internal IT and systems operations across Madeira and Lisbon, ensuring labs, offices and factory sites run smoothly so engineers can be productive from day one onboarding through to a 70-person operation.

You will manage GPU labs, workstations, security and asset lifecycle, while collaborating with a small, senior team. Relocation/housing support and CINM benefits are provided.

Formación

• 3+ years IT system administration and IT operations in a multi-site or technical environment.
• Strong Linux and Windows server administration, networking fundamentals and cloud account management.
• Identity and access management (SSO, MFA, directory services) and endpoint security discipline.
• Comfortable supporting engineering and research lab environments: GPU servers, Linux workstations, specialised hardware.
• Proactive, self-directed and comfortable being the sole IT function in a fast-growing company.

Responsabilidades

• Administer workstations, servers, switches, VPN and all user accounts across Madeira and Lisbon sites.
• Manage IT procurement, onboarding/offboarding workflows and full asset lifecycle tracking.
• Support engineering lab environments: GPU workstations, robot-fleet infrastructure, programming stations and calibration lab hardware.
• Own backup strategy, endpoint security hygiene, identity and access management (SSO, MFA, directory services).
• Maintain connectivity and IT services as Madeira headcount grows from founding team to 55-70 FTEs.

ABOUT DATAMENTORS

Datamentors is a robotics start-up building an agnostic orchestration platform and a family of proprietary robots - quadruped, mobile upper-body and humanoid - assembled at our own factory in Caniçal, Madeira. We also develop custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that give our robots natural-language reasoning and autonomy, deployable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defence and logistics. With prototypes running and a clear path to 600 units per year, the engineers joining now will shape both the hardware and the intelligence behind Ardia for years to come.

ROLE OVERVIEW
