We are seeking a highly motivated IT Manager to join our leadership team.

As the IT Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology systems and services of our property.

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Business Support, key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Overseeing and managing the hotel’s technology systems, ensuring standards are met
  • Ensuring the continuous operation of hotel systems, including networks, applications, interfaces, and servers
  • Enforcing IT security policies regarding hardware, software, and data confidentiality
  • Ensuring adequate backup of all critical and user data
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Book4Time, Oracle Opera Cloud, Silverware, Microsoft Active Directory, internet, and other systems
  • Preparing the annual IT budget with a focus on long-term sustainability and managing expenses responsibly
  • Providing IT support for employees (approximately 60%) and guests (approximately 20%)
  • Liaising with hardware and software vendors for installation and updates
  • Managing tender processes and overseeing IT investments
  • Training staff on IT systems and software
  • Advising leadership on technology projects to enhance guest experience
  • Supervising an apprentice and managing IT on-call availability
  • Ensuring software compliance with licensing regulations
  • Training IT team members on equipment and devices
  • Balancing operational and administrative IT needs
  • Staying updated with the latest technology trends
  • Following departmental policies, ergonomic, health & safety standards, and security policies
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT management role
  • 5 years of relevant IT experience (including apprenticeship)
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required
  • University degree or IT certifications preferred
  • Understanding of hotel applications (e.g., Opera, POS systems, networks) is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly responsible, reliable, autonomous, with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage stress and prioritize under pressure
  • Guest-focused with a calm and courteous demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate across departments
  • Service-oriented and responsive to internal and external clients
