Job summary

Itaú BBA Europe in Lisbon is seeking an IT Internal Auditor to join the International Internal Audit Team. You will prepare and document audit work papers, assess controls and regulatory requirements, and support delivering the Internal Audit plan.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in finance, technology or related fields, strong MS Office skills, and a keen interest in data analytics and Gen AI tools. Fluency in English is essential; Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, technology, business or equivalent.
• High proficiency in the use of MS Office.
• High interest in the use of Gen AI tools and Data Analytics.
• Aptitude for designing and performing analytic audit tests.
• Desirable experience at accounting or consultancy firms (external audit, risk advisory, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and documenting internal audit work papers and results according to Itaú internal audit methodology.
• Working collaboratively with the team to deliver the Internal Audit plan.
• Completing and documenting assigned audit work within budgeted time constraints.
• Providing input and assisting in identifying relevant risks and regulatory requirements.
• Assessing controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and best practice.
• Conducting research and completing training requirements to maintain relevance.
• Development of relationships with business management throughout the audit process.
• Conducting follow-up reviews of deficiencies noted during audits.

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Preparing and documenting internal audit work papers and results according to the professional practices and Itaú internal audit methodology;
• Working collaboratively with the team to deliver the Internal Audit plan;
• Completing and documenting assigned audit work within budgeted time constraints;
• Providing input and assisting in the identification of relevant risks and regulatory requirements for incorporation as part of our audit scope and work programs;
• Assessing controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and best practice;
• Conducting research and successfully completing assigned training requirements necessary to maintain relevance;
