Job summary

EVPConnect procura um Engenheiro de Rede IP e Segurança para projetos de Data Center em Lisboa, com modelo de trabalho híbrido (60% remoto/40% presencial).

O candidato ideal tem experiência em BGP, MPLS, Firewalls, Cisco ACI, F5 e Fortinet/Checkpoint, com foco em desenho de redes, integração de serviços e segurança. Trabalhará junto de equipas de engenharia e segurança para soluções seguras e escaláveis.

Qualifications

• Conhecimento profundo de BGP, MPLS, Firewalls, ACI e Load Balancers.
• Experiência em desenho de redes, sobretudo para data center e voz.
• Proficiência em roteamento, comutação e configuração de firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Desenhar e implementar soluções de rede para data centers, assegurando padrões de segurança.
• Definir configurações de roteamento, switching e políticas de firewall.
• Supportar integração de serviços entre IT, OSS e outras plataformas.
• Colaborar com equipas de engenharia e segurança para soluções seguras e otimizadas.
• Realizar ações corretivas quando necessário.
• Assegurar boas práticas de segurança de rede e fiabilidade com várias equipas.

Mandatory (Requirements)

• Strong expertise in networking with in-depth knowledge of BGP, MPLS, Firewalls, ACI, and Load Balancers.
• Experience in network design, particularly in voice and data center projects.
• Proficiency in routing, switching, and firewall configuration.

Hands-on experience with:

• Cisco ACI and ASR;
• F5 Load Balancers ;
• Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls ;
• Ability to work in a data center environment, integrating multiple platforms ;
• Experience in engineering teams ;
• Ability to integrate various types of services (IT, OSS, and others) ;
• Basic security knowledge, considering security as one of the multiple aspects of the project, following established guidelines ;
• Ability to support clarification, correction, and improvement tasks, with a problem-solving mindset rather than focusing solely on troubleshooting ;

Daily Tasks

• Design and implement network solutions for data center environments, ensuring compliance with security guidelines ;
• Define configurations for routing, switching, and firewall policies ;
• Support service integration across IT, OSS, and other platforms ;
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to develop optimized and secure networking solutions ;
• Perform corrective actions when required ;
• Ensure best practices in network security and reliability while working with different teams, including security specialists .

Non-Mandatory (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with data center monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios) ;
• Basic understanding of network security principles, with security validation handled by a separate team ;
• Understanding of network automation concepts, although not required.

Relevant certifications

• Cisco (Routing & Switching, ACI - CCNP or higher) ;
• Fortinet (NSE4 or above) ;
• Checkpoint (CCSA/CCSE) ;
• F5 Load Balancer certifications.
