Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a technology client in Lisbon to recruit a senior data platform engineer. You will design, build, and evolve scalable data platforms that ingest, process, and manage huge data volumes across distributed environments, enabling IoT, telecom, and software solutions.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into resilient technical designs, applying TDD and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in professional software or data platform engineering.
• Strong experience with Kafka or comparable event streaming.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with Apache Flink and/or Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience designing and operating data-intensive systems and distributed architectures.
• Proven experience building cloud-native platforms in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Solid knowledge of TDD methodologies.
• Professional English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Based in Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and enhance data platforms for large-scale workloads.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines.
• Design scalable, available, secure, and performant solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
• Develop distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Work with streaming tech to process high data volumes.
• Evolve modern data architectures for reliability and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams.
• Promote software quality through TDD and best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor production environments for stability and performance.
• Provide input into architecture and platform evolution.
