Devoteam Alegri in Lisbon is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer for a long-term freelance engagement. You will join a hybrid role with on-site two days per week, shaping a foundational data platform using Azure-native stack.

You'll work with Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lakes/Warehouses, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Redshift, Python, SQL, Spark, and NoSQL. The role emphasizes architecture ownership, pipeline design, data quality, lineage, and scalable operations.

Qualificações

• Experience designing end-to-end data architectures (Medallion or similar).
• Hands-on with Azure cloud-native tooling.
• DevOps/DataOps mindset; maintain and scale data solutions.

We're looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to join a freelance long-term project with one of the world's leading professional services firms. Hybrid role — 2 days/week in Lisbon. You'll be at the center of a serious data platform build: end-to-end architectures, Azure-native stack, Medallion patterns, pipeline optimization. Not a maintenance gig — this is a foundational role with real architectural ownership that evolves over time. What you'll be working with:

Microsoft Azure: Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Data lakes & warehouses: Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Redshift Python (Pandas, Boto3), SQL, Spark RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch) CI/CD pipelines for data solutions (DataOps) Data quality, lineage tracking, monitoring at scale What we're looking for:

Solid experience designing end-to-end data architectures (Medallion or similar) Hands-on with Azure cloud-native tooling DevOps/DataOps mindset — not just building, but maintaining and scaling Strong English — written and verbal The setup: Hybrid Lisbon (2 days/week on-site).
