Job summary

Oporto Accounting, a Porto-based firm serving international clients, seeks a Certified Accountant to strengthen the Accounting Department. You will manage accounting for a portfolio of clients and ensure accurate records.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a degree in accounting or related field, and fluency in Portuguese and English, with a hybrid work model and strong professional development prospects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting and finance tools.
• Proficient in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records (ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts).
• Support daily, monthly and annual accounting activities.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with tax compliance processes.
• Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters and reporting status.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and financial statements.
• Conduct profit, cost and financial analysis.
