Job summary

act digital is seeking an Integration Engineer Lead Expert to design and deliver enterprise integration solutions using Software AG webMethods. The role is based in Lisbon, Portugal with a hybrid work model (2 on-site days per week) and full-time employment.

You will lead the design, implementation and support of integration platforms and APIs, develop webMethods solutions and define SOA, REST and SOAP patterns.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of integration engineering and middleware experience.
• Hands-on with Software AG webMethods 10: Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging.
• Experience with SOA and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, AWS or Azure, CI/CD, Linux, and scripting.
• Terraform or IaC tools are a plus.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.

• Lead the design, implementation and support of integration platforms and APIs.
• Develop and maintain solutions with webMethods Integration Server, API Gateway and Universal Messaging.
• Define and apply SOA, REST and SOAP integration patterns.
• Collaborate with architecture, cloud and delivery teams on scalable integrations.
• Support containerized deployments, CI/CD, platform automation and production troubleshooting.

Required skills and experience

• At least 6 years of experience in integration engineering and enterprise middleware.
• Strong hands-on experience with Software AG webMethods 10, including Integration Server, API Gateway and Universal Messaging.
• Experience with SOA, REST/SOAP APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, AWS or Azure, CI/CD, Linux and scripting.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools is an advantage.
• Strong communication, technical leadership and problem-solving skills.

This is a full-time position in Lisbon with a hybrid schedule of 2 on-site days per week.
