Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services – Portugal is seeking an Integration Engineer with hands-on SAP Cloud Integration experience to join our Porto team. You will drive the migration from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite and design reliable, secure integration solutions across markets.

You will develop and deploy iFlows, use Groovy scripts, monitor services, and collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders while maintaining documentation and supporting go-live activities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the integration area with SAP Cloud Integration.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying and troubleshooting iFlows in SAP Cloud Integration.
• Experience with migration projects from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing SAP PI/PO interfaces and plan migration to SAP Cloud Integration.
• Design integration solutions with stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Develop, configure, test and deploy iFlows and mappings.
• Use SAP Cloud Integration Partner Directory to support configurations.
• Contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning for integration tasks.
• Collaborate with other teams during development and migration activities.
• Support testing, go-live, and post-migration operations across markets.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance of integrations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and fix issues in integration services.

We are looking for:

An enthusiastic Integration Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Integration who enjoys working with complex integration landscapes in an enterprise environment. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in the migration from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite, helping our markets reduce complexity and supporting their business operations through reliable, secure and maintainable integrations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyse existing SAP PI/PO interfaces and support the planning and execution of their migration to SAP Cloud Integration.
• Design suitable integration solutions together with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Develop, configure, test and deploy integration flows (iFlows), including message mappings, Groovy scripts and connectivity configurations.
• Use and maintain the SAP Cloud Integration Partner Directory to support partner-specific integration configurations.
• Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning and the delivery of integration tasks.
• Ensure effective collaboration and communication with other teams throughout development and migration activities.
• Support integration testing, service rollout and go-live activities across different markets.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve the reliability, performance and maintainability of integration services.
• Monitor and support integration services, including troubleshooting, issue resolution and bug fixing.
• Implement security best practices for integration services.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer within the team.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 3-5 years of experience in the integration area, with strong hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Integration
• Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying and troubleshooting integration flows (iFlows) in SAP Cloud Integration
• Preferably, experience in a migration project from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite, including analyzing existing interfaces, adapting integration scenarios and supporting testing and go-live activities
• Familiarity with the SAP Cloud Integration Partner Directory, including partner-specific parameters and their use within integration flows
• Knowledge of SAP PI/PO is an advantage, particularly for understanding existing interfaces, mappings and configurations during migration
• A university degree in IT or a comparable qualification
• Proficiency in Groovy, with experience developing scripts for integration scenarios
• Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT and JSON, including message mapping and data transformation
• Knowledge of common integration technologies and concepts, including SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, SOA and Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
• Experience with integration monitoring, error handling and troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills, a high level of ownership and initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Good negotiation skills and assertiveness, especially under pressure
• A problem-solving mindset, strong analytical skills and the ability to organize your work independently
• A results-oriented approach and a team-player attitude
• Fluency in spoken and written English
