Project summary

INESC TEC is accepting applications for 1 RESEARCHER job in the Digital Transition and Circular Economy project. Scientific Advisor: António Baptista. Duration: from 2025-10-23 to potentially renewable.

Work Area

Digital Transition and Circular Economy

Responsibilities

• Study new approaches in remanufacturing of complex products within a European project environment.
• Apply innovative concepts of operations management and decision support systems.
• Assist in the design of advanced software architectures focusing on the integration of genAI systems, simulation and Digital Twins, with back-end and front-end implementation.
• Support the development of digital platforms emphasizing usability and user experience (UI/UX).

Qualifications

• Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum profile: Knowledge in Industry 4.0 and 5.0 concepts, sustainability and circularity, Digital Twins and digital platforms; experience in back-end and front-end software development; design of human-computer interaction and user experience; fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
• Preference factors: Experience in digital transformation methodologies applied to circularity/sustainability, Digital Twins, usability of digital platforms; prior R&D project experience and publication activity.
