The Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon is seeking a Hardware Technician for Immersive Systems to support the Neurotechnology Warehouse. You will install, configure and troubleshoot immersive-room hardware, integrate VR and media tech, manage cabling and power, and document all setups for reproducible experiments and demonstrations.

The role requires a Master’s degree or equivalent with hands-on experience in complex hardware, and offers a 12-month fellowship contract with a starting date in 2026.

Qualificações

• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex hardware systems.
• Ability to wire, label and manage cabling and power distribution.
• Clear documentation of setups and procedures.
• Strong organization and ownership of technical infrastructure.
• Ability to learn new hardware systems quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, configure, maintain and troubleshoot immersive-room hardware.
• Integrate projectors, cameras, sensors, computers, audio, lighting and VR gear.
• Build and maintain cabling, signal routing and power distribution.
• Prepare rooms for experiments and demos and troubleshoot during live use.
• Document setups, wiring, signal flow, and equipment lists.
