ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and global best practices.
  • Encourage students to apply concepts to real-world situations, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Prepare students for external assessments, ensuring clarity of expectations and strong academic outcomes.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to the continuous development of the curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and personal growth.
  • Participate in co-curricular and enrichment activities that extend learning beyond the classroom.
  • Stay informed on current developments in the field of ICT/Computing and actively engage in professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • A relevant university degree in ICT/Computing or a related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification and experience teaching at secondary level (Cambridge curriculum experience is preferred).
  • A reflective, adaptable teaching style, with a strong focus on student engagement and academic progress.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, contributing positively to a dynamic team.
  • Confidence using ICT tools to enhance learning.
  • A commitment to student welfare and the school’s values of respect, curiosity, and responsibility.
  • Fluency in English; the ability to communicate in Portuguese is an asset.
