EPAM Systems in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking a mid‑level Java Developer to join our hybrid team. You will contribute to a derivatives platform supporting pre-trade and post-trade functionalities for equity products, delivering high‑quality, secure, scalable software in an Agile environment.

You will work on developing and maintaining components, participate in CI/CD, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide L3 support to ensure platform stability and timely delivery of features.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong Java (version 21 or higher) and Spring frameworks.
• Proficiency with relational database systems and SQL.
• Knowledge of asynchronous messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with frontend or full‑stack development using JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or jQuery (optional).
• Experience with CI/CD processes, build tools like Maven, and version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot evolved codebases effectively.
• Understanding of software testing principles and requirement analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain application components ensuring quality, security and performance.
• Participate in agile‑based software development processes, including technical analysis, documentation, coding, testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with production support teams to manage releases and resolve issues.
• Partner with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide L3 support, troubleshoot incidents and ensure platform stability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical enhancements for long‑term sustainability.
