Job summary

iCapital is hiring an Associate or Assistant Vice President for its Hedge Fund Finance team in Lisbon, Portugal. This hands-on role oversees fund accounting and investor reporting for hedge funds, fund-of-funds, and access funds, with third-party administrators.

You will review legal docs, monitor cash, manage NAVs, and coordinate with custodians, auditors, and tax providers. The position offers exposure to regulatory filings and scalable process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or business-related field.
• 3–8 years of fund accounting, fund administration, or finance operations experience; focus on alternative investment funds preferred.
• Advanced accounting skills within an audit framework is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with underlying fund managers, fund administrators, and distributors.
• Design and implement processes for servicing funds to enhance reporting, efficiency, and scale.
• Work with Investor Relations, Product, Legal & Compliance, Technology, Sales, and Marketing to support fund operations.
• Participate in new fund structuring, setup, and onboarding.
• Review feeder fund documents (LPA/PPM) and fund operational questionnaires for fund finance perspectives.
• Oversee fund administrators, auditors, tax providers, and custodians.
• Monitor cash positions, liquidity and reconciliations; manage cash reserves.
• Determine subscription/commitment sizes and analyze feeder fund expenses.
• Run accounts payable and expense allocation processes.
• Oversee NAV and statements issuance and KPI tracking.
• Review capital calls and distributions and investor allocations prepared by third parties.
