Job summary

Thales Group in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, is seeking a Project Manager to join the Airspace Mobility Solutions team. You will lead end-to-end delivery of air traffic management projects, coordinating cross-functional teams with customers and global partners to meet scope, schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or IT and at least five years of PM or Bid Manager experience, strong leadership and English proficiency, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5 years of minimum experience as Project Manager or Bid Manager.
• Strong knowledge of project management and systems engineering, with experience in project planning, risk, procurement and financial management.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and cross-functional team coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Professional proficiency in English and availability to travel.
• IPMA or equivalent certification (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while meeting customer satisfaction and financial objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and global engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and contractual compliance.
• Monitor project performance, manage risks and mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with Thales Project Management governance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
• Support bid and proposal activities by contributing to competitive, high-quality project plans aligned with Thales governance.
