Accenture Portugal is seeking an HV Power Lines Engineer to join the Generation and Networks Unit and the T&D Substations team, focusing on the design and calculation of overhead and underground HV/MV lines.

The candidate should hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of HV/MV experience, and be proficient in AutoCAD and power line calculation software (PLS‑CADD, PLS‑TOWER, IMEDEXA, CYMCAD). Proficiency in English and Portuguese is required.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of HV/MV power line design experience.
• Knowledge of Spanish electrical regulations is a plus.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Preliminary design and routing of HV/MV power lines.
• Design and calculation of overhead and underground HV/MV power lines.
• Define electrical and structural criteria for overhead and underground lines, including section, thermal, mechanical, and protection calculations.
• Prepare technical documentation: route drawings, layouts, calculation reports, and environmental and civil impact studies.
• Preparation of drawings and technical documents required to process grid access and connection applications to the transmission and distribution network.
• Review of HV/MV line engineering.
• Drafting and review of terms of reference and technical specifications.

The HV Power Lines Engineer will join the T&D Substations team within the Generation and Networks Unit, focusing on the design and calculation of overhead and underground high-voltage power lines.

Key Responsabilities:

• Preliminary design and routing of HV/MV power lines.
• Design and calculation of overhead and underground HV/MV power lines.
• Define electrical and structural criteria for overhead and underground lines, including section, thermal, mechanical, and protection calculations.
• Prepare technical documentation: route drawings, layouts, calculation reports, and environmental and civil impact studies.
• Preparation of drawings and technical documents required to process grid access and connection applications to the transmission and distribution network.
• Review of HV/MV line engineering.
• Drafting and review of terms of reference and technical specifications.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in the design and calculation of HV/MV power lines, both overhead and underground.
• Knowledge of Spanish electrical regulations is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and experience with power line calculation software (PLS‑CADD, PLS‑TOWER, IMEDEXA, CYMCAD).
• Working knowledge of BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) and GIS software (QGIS, GvSIG).
• Experience with electrical network modeling and simulation tools (e.g. DigSilent, ETAP, CAPE) and knowledge of utility standards and HV line design criteria is a plus.
• Fluent in Portuguese & English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in multidisciplinary environments.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.
