Job summary

The Standard, Lisbon, is seeking an HR Director to lead the HR function during the pre-opening phase of our new property. You will collaborate with the General Manager, senior leaders, and Corporate HR to recruit a top-quality team, manage budgets, and establish HR systems and procedures for launch.

You will head a dedicated HR team, delivering generalist HR and L&D services to over 180 employees once the hotel opens, including onboarding, payroll, and ER support, while handling pre-opening HR

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR in lifestyle hotels or large 4- or 5-star properties is essential.
• Proven ability to manage payroll, benefits, and HR budgets during pre-opening.
• Strong project management skills and system implementation experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy and operations for The Standard, Lisbon, during pre-opening and beyond.
• Partner with General Manager, Senior Executive team, and Corporate HR to recruit and establish HR processes.
• Oversee onboarding, payroll administration, ER guidance, and HR policy implementation.
• Manage HR projects across the hotel and across The Standard brand globally.
