MedVisit provides on-site medical care to patients at their hotel or residence in Lisbon, Portugal. You will focus on medical decisions while we handle admin tasks, delivering a premium healthcare experience to international visitors.

The role offers a fully flexible freelance engagement with competitive per-visit compensation and access to an established platform operating across Europe. You will diagnose, treat and refer when necessary, supporting a growing international patient base.

Qualificações

• Medical degree recognised in Portugal and active licence required.
• Fluent English and Portuguese proficiency required.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in general/ emergency/ internal medicine.
• On-call flexibility including evenings and weekends.
• Autonomous professional status (Recibo Verde) or willingness to obtain.
• Own professional liability insurance and access to Lisbon transport.

Responsabilidades

• On-site diagnosis and treatment at patient accommodations across Lisbon.
• Emergency assessment and coordination of hospital referrals when needed.
• Prescription management within the platform-supported workflow.
• Performance of minor medical procedures as appropriate.
• Coordinate hospital referrals and ensure smooth case handover.

At MedVisit, we bring the consultation to the patient — at their hotel, their apartment, their door. You focus on the medicine. We handle the rest. We offer a premium healthcare experience to international tourists, expatriates and digital nomads visiting Lisbon who feel vulnerable due to illness while away from their home country.

Tasks

• What you'll do:
• See patients with common travel-related conditions, at their accommodation across Lisbon. Conduct thorough assessments, prescribe when needed, and coordinate hospital referrals for cases that require it — all supported by our platform, which takes care of the admin. In summary you would able to do:

Requirements

• Medical degree recognised in Portugal, active licence with the Ordem dos Médicos
• Fluent English (C1+) and Portuguese
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine, emergency or internal medicine
• Flexibility for on-call shifts including evenings and weekends
• Registered as autonomous professional (Recibo Verde) or willing to do so
• Own professional liability insurance
• Access to transportation across Lisbon
