BIRKENSTOCK is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Technician to support the implementation and continuous improvement of Occupational Health & Safety policies across the organization. The role focuses on compliance, risk assessment, and promoting a strong safety culture.

You will conduct inspections, support investigations, and collaborate with departments to maintain up-to-date H&S documentation, ensuring alignment with Portuguese legislation and company standards.

Qualificações

• Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Certified Health & Safety Technician (CAP / equivalent certification).
• Knowledge of Portuguese H&S legislation.
• Previous experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety policies and programs.
• Ensure compliance with national and European health and safety legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and propose preventive and corrective actions aligned with all departments.
• Support accident and incident investigations and reporting.
• Promote health and safety awareness through training and communication initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments, managers, and external entities.
• Maintain H&S documentation and reports in accordance with legal and internal requirements.
