Revolut is seeking a Portugal-based Health and Safety Specialist to advance our environmental, health, and safety practices across the globe. You will shape and refine a best-in-class management system to protect our people, ensure compliance, and support an innovative culture.

As a central figure in risk management, you will drive projects from inception to completion, align safety initiatives with business objectives, and collaborate with teams to promote a safe, compliant work environment

Qualificações

• Requires a Higher Technician in Occupational Safety qualification.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Experience in a safety manager role within a global organisation is preferred.
• Understanding of health and safety principles, regulatory compliance, and EHS best practices is essential.
• Knowledge of risk management and cross-border regulatory challenges is desirable.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and maintaining a safe working environment with standardized processes.
• Lead evolution of a global health and safety management system as the company grows.
• Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and translate them into clear policies.
• Conduct risk assessments for existing and new offices and identify hazards via site reviews.
• Monitor performance, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams as an SME to drive health and safety projects from initiation to completion.
• Report progress against key health and safety goals.

We're looking for a Portugal-based Health and Safety Specialist to drive the development and improvement of our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building a safe working environment, focusing on process standardisations
• Leading the evolution of a global health and safety management system to align with company growth
• Ensuring compliance with local and international health and safety regulations, as well as translating legal obligations into clear company policies
• Conducting comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing offices, and identifying hazards proactively through regular site reviews
• Innovating and improving our systems by monitoring performance, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborating with teams as a subject-matter expert in health and safety to drive projects from initiation to completion
• Reporting on progress against key health and safety goals

What You'll Need

• A Técnico Superior de Segurança no Trabalho qualification
• Fluency in English
• Experience in a safety manager role within a global organisation
• An in-depth understanding of health and safety principles, regulatory compliance, and EHS best practices
• Solid knowledge of risk management and assessment, particularly regarding launching new businesses in other countries
• Impeccable strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to align safety initiatives with business objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• A track record of creating and implementing safety mission statements and strategic plans

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech
• Experience with global employee safety and duty of care
• Proficiency with Google Sheets
• Knowledge of Javascript (for automation/scripting)
