Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Real Estate Development strategy execution in Portugal, ensuring alignment with business and brand objectives;
  • Manage, mentor, and support a team of Project Managers, ensuring consistency in planning, execution, reporting, and problem-solving;
  • Provide strategic and technical oversight to all stages of development and business plan: due diligence, design, planning, licensing, tender, construction, and handover;
  • Ensure each Project Manager has clear priorities, deliverables, and access to necessary internal/external resources;
  • Review and challenge project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments prepared by the team, ensuring robust planning and proactive issue resolution;
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex project issues, working cross-functionally to resolve challenges with contractors, authorities, or consultants;
  • Represent the company with key public and private stakeholders (e.g., Municipalities, DGPC, EDP, EPAL, DGCP,), ensuring constructive and professional engagement;
  • Support Business Development and Investment teams with technical input and feasibility validation for new projects;
  • Build and maintain a strong network of consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory contacts to support the team’s efficiency and project success.

Profile:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar;
  • 8+ years’ experience in development and construction management, preferably in high-end hospitality;
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects from licensing to handover;
  • Solid knowledge of Portuguese construction processes, regulations, and public authorities;
  • Strong skills in budgeting, cost control, risk mitigation, and technical coordination;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable with multiple deadlines;
  • Sensitivity to hospitality design and premium finishes;
  • Strategic, hands-on mindset with business growth focus.
