Moniepoint Inc. in Portugal is seeking a Head of Engineering for the POS Applications Platform.

You will own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform, the foundation beneath all POS devices, spanning Android-based apps and cross-device coordination. This is a platform-lead role responsible for developer experience, reliability, frameworks, and adoption, while collaborating with product, payments, and business leadership across markets.

Qualificações

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Hands-on POS device software on-device is required.
• Strong knowledge of EMV/PCI DSS and payment certifications.
• Deep Android engineering expertise in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience building platform engineering functions and tooling.
• Experience scaling engineering teams across multiple markets.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform.
• Govern four platform pillars: DX, reliability, frameworks, and adoption.
• Set and enforce engineering standards across POS types and OEMs.
• Lead POS engineers across squads and provide platform layer oversight.
• Own observability, monitoring, and incident response for the platform.
• Define onboarding and integration for new POS device types.
• Scale the platform team and mentor growth as we expand internationally.
• Translate platform decisions into business impact with leadership.
