Qualificações

• 5–10 years of professional experience in Data Services/Data Management.
• University degree; Master’s or PhD valued.
• Strong knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance, including frameworks, roles and policies.
• Experience in setting up and scaling Data Services and Reporting Services operating models.
• Experience managing end-to-end data processes including data delivery, validation and issue resolution.
• Extensive experience designing and improving processes.
• Ability to drive automation and reduce manual effort.

Experis is recruiting a Head of Data Services to join an organization in the insurance sector, strengthening its Data Services area within a context of building and developing a new structure, based in Lisbon, under a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate and develop the Data Services team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and Data Governance standards;
• Establish consistent ways of working, clear prioritization and processes focused on efficient, reliable and scalable service delivery;
• Ensure operational excellence across Data Services processes by standardizing workflows, reducing manual effort and driving continuous improvement;
• Ensure the effective execution of end-to-end data processes, including data delivery, validation, issue resolution and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
• Identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows and embed best practices across the data lifecycle;
• Define success metrics and monitor data quality and process performance indicators;
• Coordinate data issue management, ensuring structured intake, prioritization, escalation and timely resolution;
• Ensure the appropriate maintenance and use of metadata, business glossary and data catalogue, guiding Data Stewards in documentation and adherence to established standards;
• Provide transparency through regular reporting on data quality, issues, risks and progress;
• Translate operational insights into improvement actions and contribute to strategic Data initiatives;
• Promote effective collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on data, processes and priorities;
• Ensure compliance with Data Governance policies, rules and standards.

Profile:

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally in Data Services, Data Management, Data Quality or similar functions;
• University degree, with a Master’s or PhD being valued;
• Strong knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance, including data governance frameworks, roles, standards and policies;
• Experience in setting up, designing and scaling Data Services and Reporting Services operating models;
• Strong experience managing end-to-end data processes, including data delivery, validation and issue resolution;
• Extensive experience designing, standardizing and continuously improving processes;
• Ability to identify process bottlenecks, drive automation initiatives and implement sustainable solutions to improve productivity;
• Knowledge of Service Management, including SLAs, KPIs, governance structures and operational controls;
• Experience in Data Quality Management, including defining KPIs, monitoring quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
• Experience in Asset Management, with experience in Real Estate and Infrastructure Asset Management being valued;
• Good understanding of Real Estate and Infrastructure data and KPIs, as well as financial and performance data, including NAV, returns, benchmarks, attribution and AUM;
• Knowledge of data platforms such as Immpac, Salesforce, Yardi, Smartgate, Databricks or Snowflake is valued;
• Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to align Data Services and Reporting Services with business priorities;
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to create alignment and drive accountability;
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to lead, develop and empower teams;
• Assertiveness and ability to ensure adherence to governance, processes and standards.
