DISPLAX, a world leader in the manufacture of Ultra Large Touchscreens, is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join its HQ team in Braga, Portugal. You will design, develop and validate the hardware solutions behind our products, working closely with software, firmware and product teams.

If you enjoy solving problems from circuit to finished product and documenting clear schematics, you will thrive in this role that spans from concept to mass production readiness.

Qualificações

• Degree in electronics or related field.
• Strong circuit design and embedded systems knowledge.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools; embedded C/C++.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

We\'re looking for a Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team and help design, develop, and validate the hardware solutions behind our products. If you enjoy solving problems from circuit to finished product, and working closely with software, firmware, and product teams, we\'d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement new hardware solutions and supporting infrastructure for our products.
• Evaluate technical feasibility through analysis, requirements gathering, and solution development for electronic and hardware systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Firmware, and Software teams to define and deliver innovative hardware solutions that shape product direction and user experience.
• Document and demonstrate solutions through clear schematics, PCB layouts, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain and enhance existing hardware designs, prototypes, and test tooling.
• Support bring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware prototypes.

Requirements

Must Have

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in circuit design and embedded systems principles.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent) and embedded C/C++.
• Solid experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB) and hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• A proactive, versatile, and responsible mindset.

Nice To Have

• Experience with touch, display technologies, or sensor integration.
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance testing.
• Experience taking products from prototype through to mass production.
