DISPLAX, S.A. is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join the engineering team in Braga, Portugal. The role focuses on designing, developing, and validating hardware solutions behind our Ultra Large Touchscreens, collaborating with software, firmware, and product teams.

You will research, design, and implement new hardware solutions, evaluate technical feasibility, and help bring products from prototype to production. The team operates in an international, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in circuit design and embedded systems principles.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad) and embedded C/C++.

Responsabilidades

• Research, design, and implement new hardware solutions and supporting infrastructure for our products.
• Evaluate technical feasibility through analysis, requirements gathering, and solution development for electronic and hardware systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Firmware, and Software teams to define and deliver innovative hardware solutions that shape product direction and user experience.
• Document and demonstrate solutions through clear schematics, PCB layouts, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain and enhance existing hardware designs, prototypes, and test tooling.
• Support bring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware prototypes.

Job Description

We're looking for a Hardware Engineer to joinour engineering team and help design, develop, and validate thehardware solutions behind our products. ROLE

Research,design, and implement new hardware solutions and supportinginfrastructure for our products.

Evaluatetechnical feasibility through analysis, requirements gathering, andsolution development for electronic and hardware systems.

Collaborateclosely with Product Management, Firmware, and Software teams todefine and deliver innovative hardware solutions that shape productdirection and user experience.

Document anddemonstrate solutions through clear schematics, PCB layouts,diagrams, and technical documentation.

Maintain andenhance existing hardware designs, prototypes, and test tooling.

Supportbring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardwareprototypes.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

Degree inElectronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Strongfoundation in circuit design and embedded systems principles.

Proficiencyin schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer,KiCad, or equivalent) and embedded C/C++.

Solidexperience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB) andhardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).

A proactive,versatile, and responsible mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

Experiencewith touch, display technologies, or sensor integration.

Knowledge ofEMC/EMI compliance testing.

Experiencetaking products from prototype through to mass production.
