Position Overview

A Groups and Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the Groups and Events team to achieve hotel goals, maximize sales, and ensure high-quality service for groups and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Sales Coordinators to deliver standard services and meet financial targets.
  • Visit clients with the Sales Manager to ensure the success of major groups and events.
  • Participate in negotiations to maximize results.
  • Coordinate meetings with the team regarding upcoming events.
  • Conduct weekly communication meetings with coordinators.
  • Promote hotel facilities and understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
  • Organize hotel visits and handle special requests.
  • Act as the liaison between clients and hotel staff when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and Revenue Management to complete the sales process.
  • Update sales activities daily in hotel systems.
  • Review rates, group bookings, deadlines, and waiting lists.
  • Review commission reports for groups, events, and F&B.
  • Participate in special activities like secretaries' cocktails and welcome dinners.
  • Respond to all client requests within 24 hours.
  • Maintain good client relationships and foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt to operational needs and promote hotel activities and events.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • Fluent in English; second language desirable.
  • Experience in sales, events, or banquets, preferably in hotels, with leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stress and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
