Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Go Developer to lead and mentor a cloud-native development team in Palmela, Portugal. You will design and maintain Kubernetes Operators and APIs using Go, promote IaC and GitOps, and collaborate with cross-functional product units across cloud-native platforms.

The role emphasizes leadership, SRE practices, security and performance considerations, and participation in continuous improvement across CI/CD pipelines and platform evolution.

Qualificações

• Mandatory experience developing backend and cloud-native solutions with Go.
• Rust experience is highly valued.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures; familiarity with containerized environments.

What You Can Expect In The Role

Lead and mentor a cloud‑native development team, promoting engineering excellence and best practices. Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, APIs, and automation tooling using Go. Drive cloud platform automation through GitOps and Infrastructure as Code methodologies. Collaborate with Product Units including Bare Metal, Provisioning, IAM, Storage, and Network L2 teams. Contribute to architecture discussions, technical decision‑making, and platform evolution.

Implement and promote SRE principles, focusing on reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence. Support CI/CD pipeline improvements and platform industrialization initiatives. Ensure cloud‑native solutions follow security, performance, and maintainability standards. Participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement activities. Explore and contribute to Rust‑based developments where applicable and beneficial.

Your Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Strong professional experience developing backend and cloud‑native solutions with Go (mandatory);

Experience with Rust ishighly valued. Proven expertise in Kubernetes, containerized environments, and cloud‑native architectures. Hands‑on experience with GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/SRE practices. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience guiding technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
