Job summary

Decskill is seeking an IT Business Analyst to bridge business needs with IT delivery. You will act as intermediary between business stakeholders, IT teams, and end users, supporting reporting and data management initiatives across our Lisbon, Porto, and international projects.

The role requires strong SQL and Power BI skills, a solid grasp of analytics, and experience with test planning, documentation, and process improvement in a banking or financial context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in admin and support.
• Proven experience in test plan definition, execution, and validation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI.
• MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus.
• Knowledge of JIRA is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in banking/financial sector is valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as intermediary between business stakeholders, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
• Support the administration and operational activities of reporting and data management solutions.
• Coordinate and monitor closing calendars and reporting activities.
• Manage and maintain reference data.
• Monitor and control data production processes.
• Provide first-level support to end users and assist with issue resolution.
• Manage and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Execute operational permanent controls and ensure compliance with defined procedures.
• Support project management activities and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
• Define, execute, and validate test plans.
• Coordinate testing activities and ensure that results meet business and technical requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including validation statements, release notes, data models, and other relevant documentation.
• Analyse data and reporting processes using SQL and Power BI.
• Identify issues, assess their impact, and contribute to the definition of appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams in an international and multicultural environment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, controls, reporting solutions, and data quality.
