Keenfinity Group seeks a seasoned Global Inventory Controlling & Material Ledger Expert to lead inventory accounting, valuation, and SAP-driven processes across the organization.

You will partner with Group Accounting, Controlling, Supply Chain, Logistics and IT to ensure accurate valuation and transparent financial reporting, while driving IFRS-compliant practices and continuous improvements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/CMA) is a plus.
• 7+ years in relevant inventory accounting/controlling roles.
• Experience in international cross-functional environments.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, IAS 2 inventory guidance.
• Hands-on SAP Material Ledger and SAP FI/CO/MM experience.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Global Inventory Controlling & Material Ledger Expert to oversee inventory accounting and valuation processes across the organization. This role serves as the central expert for inventory-related accounting matters, ensuring compliance with IFRS requirements, supporting stock‑taking activities, collaborating with auditors, and driving process improvements within SAP.

The successful candidate will act as a key business partner to Group Accounting, Controlling, Supply Chain, Logistics, Local Finance, and IT teams, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and transparent financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accounting & Valuation

• Own and oversee inventory accounting processes across the organization.


• Ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with IFRS, particularly IAS 2 Inventories.


• Review and analyze inventory movements, valuation adjustments, and related financial impacts.


• Support period‑end and year‑end closing activities related to inventory.


• Maintain and further develop inventory accounting policies and procedures together with Group Accounting.

Material Ledger & ERP Expertise

• Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP Material Ledger.


• Analyze inventory transactions, movement types, and valuation processes within SAP.


• Navigate and reconcile financial impacts between balance sheet accounts, material ledger, and profit & loss statements.


• Support troubleshooting and process improvements within SAP FI, CO, and MM modules.


• Partner with IT and master data teams to resolve system issues, authorization topics, and data quality concerns.

Stock Taking & Inventory Controls

• Coordinate global stock‑taking activities and inventory count procedures.


• Define stock count schedules and monitor compliance across locations.


• Provide training and guidance on inventory counting procedures and controls.


• Monitor stock count results and ensure appropriate follow‑up actions.


• Collaborate with local controllers and logistics teams responsible for operational stock counts.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate closely with external auditors and act as the primary point of contact for audit‑related inquiries


• Build strong partnerships with the key stakeholders within the organization


• Support cross‑functional initiatives and projects impacting inventory valuation and reporting.

Controlling & Financial Analysis

• Understand and analyze P&L impacts arising from inventory valuation, depreciation, cost allocations, and manufacturing variances.


• Support management reporting and provide insights on inventory‑related financial performance.


• Identify risks and opportunities related to inventory management and valuation.

Process Improvement

• Drive standardization and optimization of inventory accounting processes.


• Improve controls around inventory valuation, stock counts, and SAP master data.


• Support system enhancements and automation initiatives related to inventory management and accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Finance, or a related field.


• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CMA) is a plus.


• More than 7 years of professional experience in relevant positions.


• Experience working in an international and cross‑functional business environment.


• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and valuation principles.


• Solid understanding of IFRS, particularly IAS 2 Inventories.


• Hands‑on experience with SAP Material Ledger (MM) and SAP FI/CO modules or similar ERP systems.


• Strong understanding of financial statement impacts related to inventory accounting.


• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.


• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.


• High degree of ownership and accountability.


• Strong organizational and coordination capabilities.


• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a global environment.
