Körber in Portugal seeks an electrical systems engineer focused on automation, safety and conveyor technology to plan and design electrical systems, and to supervise the needed services per applicable standards.

You will support risk assessments, functional safety, tender documentation for suppliers, and provide installation support at project sites, with progress monitored until customer acceptance. Travel worldwide is required and English language skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Degree in automation or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in automation environment and functional safety for machines and systems.
• Knowledge of machinery directives and relevant standards.
• Experience with bus systems such as Ethernet, PROFINET and PROFIBUS.
• Electrical design experience using RUPLAN or EPLAN in sorting/distribution tech (BHS/Parcel).
• English language skills required.
• Willingness to travel worldwide to support international projects.
• Teamwork, structured working methods, strong communication, and a self-reliant approach.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and design electrical systems with a focus on automation, safety, and conveyor technology.
• Supervise and coordinate the necessary services per applicable standards.
• Support risk assessments, PL calculations, and customer documentation.
• Define tender documents for suppliers and provide installation support at project sites.
• Participate in project and construction meetings and provide technical leadership when needed.
