A Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) oferece uma bolsa de investigação para licenciados ou mestres em Relações Internacionais no âmbito da unidade de investigação GILT – Games, Interaction & Learning Technologies, ligada ao projecto ECA Education through Alternative Communication. A duração é de 6 meses, com início previsto em novembro de 2026, podendo ser renovada até ao limite do RBI-ISEP

• Conhecimentos de gestão de processos de pesquisa e de comunicação científica.

• Compreender, analisar e integrar as atividades de investigação do grupo.
• Desenhar e implementar processos para a preparação de propostas e projectos de I&D.
• Analisar, avaliar e disseminar resultados de pesquisa.

Offer Description

A call for applications is open for the award of one Research Grant for holders of a Bachelor's or Master's degree within the scope of the Research Unit GILT - Games, Interaction & Learning Technologies, of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), ECA Project – Education through Alternative Communication? with reference number COMPETE2030-FEDER-00752200 - 1635, co-funded by the Innovation and Digital Transition Thematic Programme (COMPETE2030) through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Portugal 2030, under the following conditions:

1.SCIENTIFIC AREA
International Relations, or related field

2.ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor or Master degree´s in International Relations, or related field.

3.DURATION
The grant will last 6 months, expected to start in november 2026, and may be renewed for equal periods, up to the limit established in the RBI-ISEP, or until the end of the project, whichever occurs first.

4.PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY / WORK PLAN
The activity aims to contribute to improving the implementation and management of research processes. We will research and design research and development proposals and projects.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in the dissemination of research projects and results; Experience in the implementation and management of research processes.

Grant:

The grant holder will:

• a) Understand, analyse and integrate the group's research activities.
• b) Design and implement processes for the preparation of research and development proposals and projects.
• c) Analyse, evaluate and disseminate research results.

5.SCIENTIFIC SUPERVISION AND WORKPLACE
The work will be carried out at ISEP, GILT – Games Interaction and Learning Technology, under the scientific supervision of Professor Paula Escudeiro, PhD

8.SELECTION METHODS AND COMPOSITION OF THE SELECTION PANEL
Candidates will be evaluated on three equally weighted components: the final grade obtained in their higher education degree; previous experience in scientific/academic projects or professional work; and an interview with the candidate (all scored on a scale of 0 to 20).
After the analysis of the applications and the evaluation of the candidates according to the above components, candidates will be ranked in descending order of their scores. In the event of a tie, the tie-break will be based on the highest score obtained in the interview. If the tie persists, the tie-breaking factor will be the final grade obtained in the higher education degree. If the tie still persists, the panel will hold a vote in which all panel members vote, with the Chair of the Panel having the casting vote in the event of a further tie.

10.APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications will be accepted from 23 October to 5 November 2026.

11.PUBLICATION/NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS
The evaluation results will be communicated by email to the email address provided in the application.

12.COMPLAINT AND APPEAL PROCEDURES
If the result is unfavourable, candidates have a period of 10 working days after the publication of the evaluation results to submit their comments, should they wish to do so, in a prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure.

13.SELECTION RESERVE (OPTIONAL)
ISEP reserves the right to contact non-selected candidates, in order of ranking, to award a grant within the same project should the initially selected candidate withdraw.
