Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club, located in Comporta, Portugal, seeks a skilled technician to manage refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, and electrical maintenance for a luxury hospitality environment. You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in commercial kitchens, hospitality, industrial refrigeration, or facility maintenance.
• Experience in diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in high-demand operational environments (hotels, restaurants, resorts).
• Electrical safety awareness
• Hygiene & food safety awareness — HACCP implications for kitchen equipment.
• Fire safety awareness — SCIE interactions with kitchen systems.

Responsabilidades

• Refrigeration maintenance — diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units.
• Kitchen equipment servicing — maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen appliances.
• Electrical troubleshooting — identify faults, replace components, work safely on 230/400 V circuits.
• Preventive maintenance — execute scheduled routines and document interventions.
• Spare parts management — identify parts, coordinate procurement, maintain stock levels.
• Coordination with contractors — supervise external specialists during complex interventions.
• Operational support — provide rapid response to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

What you will do?

Key Responsibilities :

• Refrigeration maintenance — Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units (counters, freezers, cold rooms, condensers, evaporators).
• Kitchen equipment servicing — Maintain and repair commercial kitchen appliances (ovens, combi ovens, fryers, dishwashers, extraction systems).
• Electrical troubleshooting — Identify electrical faults, replace components, and work safely on 230/400 V circuits.
• Preventive maintenance — Execute scheduled maintenance routines and document all interventions.
• Spare parts management — Identify required parts, coordinate procurement, and maintain stock levels.
• Coordination with contractors — Support and supervise external specialists during complex or regulated interventions.
• Operational support — Provide immediate response to breakdowns to minimize downtime in kitchen operations.

Required Technical Competencies :

• Refrigeration systems knowledge — Strong understanding of cooling cycles, compressors, expansion valves, refrigerants, leak detection and fluorinated gases

• Commercial kitchen equipment — Experience with industrial appliances and their maintenance requirements.

• Electrical skills — Ability to work safely on electrical circuits, read wiring diagrams, and replace electrical components.

• Mechanical aptitude — Motors, pumps, fans, belts, bearings, seals, and mechanical assemblies.

• Technical documentation — Ability to interpret OEM manuals, schematics, and safety instructions.
