BI4ALL seeks a production-focused GenAI Engineer to join our team in Portugal. This applied role focuses on building and scaling real-world enterprise AI applications, bridging frontier models with enterprise infrastructure to ensure context-aware, reliable, and cost-efficient AI workflows.

You will design production-grade GenAI applications, orchestrate data agents, manage long-running tasks, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver AI solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement production-ready GenAI applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Orchestrate, configure, and manage data agents and their runtime environments across enterprise environments
• Manage the context lifecycle of long-running agent tasks, implementing strategies for context optimization and state persistence
• Develop and integrate custom skills and tools to extend agent capabilities and support specific business needs
• Implement interoperability standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A) for secure integrations and multi-agent collaboration
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems using APIs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft
• Monitor and optimize system performance, including token usage, prompt efficiency, caching strategies, and latency
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to design and deliver AI-driven solutions aligned with business goals

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a production-focused GenAI Engineer to join our team. This is an applied engineering role centered on building and scaling real-world enterprise applications. Your core mission will be to orchestrate, customize, configure, and manage data agents and their runtime environments. You will bridge frontier models with enterprise infrastructure, ensuring our AI workflows remain context-aware, accurate, highly reliable, and cost-efficient.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Design and implement production-ready GenAI applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Orchestrate, configure, and manage data agents and their runtime environments across enterprise environments
• Manage the context lifecycle of long-running agent tasks, implementing strategies for context optimization and state persistence
• Develop and integrate custom skills and tools to extend agent capabilities and support specific business needs
• Implement interoperability standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A) for secure integrations and multi-agent collaboration

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• +3 to 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Applied AI roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience integrating REST APIs, SDKs, and data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with GenAI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar
• Experience building and deploying RAG architectures and working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Chroma, pgvector)
• Knowledge of modern agent protocols, including MCP and Agent2Agent patterns
• Experience developing AI agents in enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on production-grade solutions
• Excellent communication skills, team player, and ability to work closely with stakeholders
• English proficiency, enabling effective collaboration in a global environment
• And above all: you know how to listen, think, ask, propose, and collaborate

WE ALSO VALUE

• Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure AI Studio, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, or Databricks
• Experience with AI evaluation and observability frameworks (e.g., RAGAS or LLM-as-a-judge approaches)
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM optimization, and cost control strategies
• Understanding of security, governance, and responsible AI practices
