Job summary

iTRTech Group is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a hybrid Lisbon-based role. The candidate will design and run scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Run, GCS, and Cloud Composer within a Telco data model project spanning Europe.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong GCP expertise, and the ability to work 40% onsite in Lisbon with English at B2 level or higher.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing, deploying and supporting data pipelines in production.
• Strong experience with Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Cloud Run and BigQuery ingestion, plus GCS.
• Experience with Cloud Composer (Managed Airflow) for orchestration.
• Knowledge of Cloud Logging and Alerting.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data platform lifecycle.
• English level at least B2 and readiness for 40% onsite in Lisbon.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operationalise the Telco Data Model prototype in the target environment.
• Support feature expansion and integration across the data platform.
• Design, develop and optimise data ingestion pipelines into BigQuery, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Implement and maintain orchestration workflows using Google Cloud Composer (Managed Airflow).
• Test and validate raw ingestion, curated, historical and serving/consumption layers.
• Monitor platform health and performance using Google Cloud Logging and alerting capabilities.
• Troubleshoot data processing, orchestration and platform issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects and development teams to ensure successful delivery and operational stability.
