Job summary

Wire IT, based in Portugal, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our hybrid team in Lisbon/Porto. You will design and optimize data pipelines on GCP, focusing on BigQuery, SQL, and Python to support business decisions.

You will work independently with cross-functional teams, implement Airflow workflows via Cloud Composer, manage data migrations from on-prem to cloud, and ensure data quality. English B2 mandatory; French a plus.

Qualifications

• Senior Data Engineer with strong GCP experience.
• BigQuery expertise with SQL, data modelling, partitioning and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Composer (Airflow) for data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation, automation, and migration.
• Experience with data migration from on-prem to GCP/BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data quality, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English (B2) required; French is a plus.
