Minga London is seeking an experienced Garment Technologist / Fit Technician to join the product development team at our Guimarães head office, Portugal. You will manage garment measurements, fittings and technical feedback from first sample to production approval, ensuring fit, proportions and finish meet the design intent.

You will collaborate with Design, Buying and suppliers, translate fitting decisions into precise comments, and maintain meticulous records to keep development on schedule.

Qualificações

• Experience as Garment Technologist, Fit Technician or similar technical apparel role.
• Practical fittings experience and ability to prepare measurement charts and communicate fit comments to factories.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, sizing, grading, fabric behaviour and finishing.
• Ability to identify fit issues and propose practical corrections preserving design intent.
• Experience across different womenswear categories.
• Clear written and spoken English with international suppliers.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets and annotating sample images.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage several styles and deadlines.
• On-site availability in Guimarães, Portugal; denim experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain garment measurement charts with points of measurement, tolerances and grading.
• Measure samples and check against specs, identify discrepancies and fixes.
• Organise and conduct fittings with design and buying teams.
• Translate fitting decisions into clear supplier comments with photos and measurements.
• Communicate amendments with suppliers and follow up on revised samples.
• Verify changes at each sampling stage are implemented.
• Assess how fabrics, stretch, shrinkage and construction affect fit and performance.
• Keep organized records of samples, charts, comments and approvals.
• Collaborate with design and buying to keep development on schedule and flag issues early.
• Check pre-production samples against approved fit, measurements and finishing standards.
