Job summary

NextWave Publications in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a compassionate full-time caregiver to support an elderly or disabled client at home. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include personal care, medications, meals, transportation to appointments, and reporting changes to caregivers. Visa eligibility is required; accommodation is provided near the client’s residence.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Must be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and other tasks as needed.
• Must have own visa or eligibility to work in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Accompany client to appointments and social outings.
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with the client.
• Monitor client's condition and report any changes to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client.
