Next Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a FinOps Expert to optimize cloud costs across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and drive transparency for budgeting.

You will develop cost reports and dashboards in Power BI, analyze spending, and collaborate with finance, engineering and operations to improve cost efficiency and performance. This hybrid Lisbon role requires 3–6 years of experience and offers strong benefits.

Qualificações

Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis.
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing models.
Experience with cloud operations, cloud architectures, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization processes.
Strong analytical skills to translate data into insights and presentations.
Power BI and advanced Excel used for reporting and data analysis.
Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or FinOps Foundation are valued.
Fluency in English.

Implement and improve tools and automation for cloud cost tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Implement FinOps strategies and best practices to optimize cloud costs and improve financial accountability
Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending and usage across multiple cloud platforms
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with finance, engineering, and operations teams
Identify and drive cloud cost optimization opportunities while ensuring service quality and performance
Develop cost reports, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making and increase cloud cost transparency
Promote FinOps governance processes and improve collaboration between product, engineering, architecture, and finance teams
Implement and improve tools and automation for cloud cost tracking, reporting, and optimization

Requirements:

Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing models
Experience with cloud operations, cloud architectures, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization processes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and presentations
Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel for reporting and data analysis
Knowledge of IBM Cloudability or similar cloud cost management tools is a plus
Understanding of IT asset management, cost accounting, or financial processes
Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or FinOps Foundation are valued
Fluency in English
