Next Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a FinOps Expert to optimize cloud costs, build governance, and partner with finance, engineering, and operations to drive efficiency across platforms.

The role requires 3–6 years of FinOps or cloud cost experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Power BI and Excel. It offers a hybrid Lisbon work model with competitive base pay and benefits.

Qualificações

• 3–6 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud billing models.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights and presentations.
• Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Knowledge of IBM Cloudability or similar cloud cost management tools is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Implement FinOps strategies to optimize cloud costs and improve financial accountability.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across multiple cloud platforms.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization with finance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Identify and drive cloud cost optimization opportunities while ensuring service quality.
• Develop cost reports, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making and increase cloud cost transparency.
• Promote FinOps governance processes and improve collaboration between product, engineering, architecture, and finance teams.
• Implement and improve tools and automation for cloud cost tracking, reporting, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Implement FinOps strategies and best practices to optimize cloud costs and improve financial accountability

• Identify and drive cloud cost optimization opportunities while ensuring service quality and performance
• Develop cost reports, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making and increase cloud cost transparency
• Promote FinOps governance processes and improve collaboration between product, engineering, architecture, and finance teams
• Implement and improve tools and automation for cloud cost tracking, reporting, and optimization

Requirements

• Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing models
• Experience with cloud operations, cloud architectures, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization processes
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and presentations
• Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel for reporting and data analysis
• Knowledge of IBM Cloudability or similar cloud cost management tools is a plus
• Understanding of IT asset management, cost accounting, or financial processes
• Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or FinOps Foundation are valued
• Fluency in English
