BNP Paribas Cardif Support in Porto is seeking a Financial Reporting Controller to join our European Service Center. You will manage IFRS and French GAAP packages for financial assets, delivering on deadlines within our control framework.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, advanced Excel, and data analysis, with English fluency. We offer a hybrid work model in Porto/Lisbon and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of general accounting fundamentals and IFRS standards (IFRS 9/13/17) and French GAAP as a plus.
• Experience with financial reporting, ideally with financial assets portfolios.
• Advanced Excel skills are key; SQL, Python or SAS are a strong plus.
• Ability to work with data (reconciliations, adjustments, data analysis).
• Experience with Financial statements preparation and control frameworks.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, strong team player with good communications.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2); French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce IFRS packages for the Financial Assets portfolio, ensuring deadlines and compliance with regulations.
• Guarantee the timely delivery of IFRS and GAAP quarterly reports and restatements.
• Contribute to reviews and quality controls for IFRS GAAP on a quarterly basis.
• Perform analyses to understand entity status and respond to Group controllers' queries.
• Document all work per permanent control requirements.
• Provide regular reporting and communication to the team and managers.
