Job summary

Air Liquide ALEBS in Lisbon is seeking a Finance Trainee (m/f) for 9-12 months to support core financial processes including R2R, O2C, treasury operations, intercompany coordination and AP workflows. You will ensure journal accuracy and balance sheet integrity while driving a continuous improvement initiative.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a "Finance Trainee (m/f) French, German, Dutch Speaker” at ALEBS, during 9-12 months you will drive operational excellence across our core pillars: Record-to-Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Treasury Operations, Intercompany (Interco) Coordination and Accounts Payable (AP). You will execute core accounting and cash management workflows, ensure journal accuracy and balance sheet integrity, and deliver a continuous improvement initiative to streamline a financial close or reconciliation routine.

Key Learning Objectives

• R2R & Month-End Close: End-to-end execution of recurring journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial close support under GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Order to Cash (O2C): Assist in managing customer orders, billing, and payment reconciliation.
• Treasury & Liquidity Operations: Daily bank statement reconciliations, cash positioning, payment/receipt processing, and input modeling for liquidity forecasts.
• Intercompany Matching & Settlement: Cross-border trade/non-trade balance reconciliation, discrepancy resolution with global finance counterparts, and netting setup.
• Process Optimization: Applying lean financial principles to automate manual Excel/ERP tasks and document standardized accounting procedures.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Support vendor invoice processing, match purchase orders to goods receipts and reconcile supplier statements to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.
