Reporting to the Administrator responsible for the financial area, this professional will manage the Group’s financial function operationally, ensuring reliable and timely management information, supporting decision-making, ensuring appropriate liquidity management and monitoring the organization’s strategic projects. Our client is a leading Portuguese business group, with a national presence, diversified activities and more than 500 employees. With a centralized finance structure and a demanding, business-oriented management model, it aims to strengthen its financial leadership team by hiring a Senior Finance Manager.

• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring processes for the different business units
• Monitor financial and operational indicators, analyzing variances and proposing corrective actions
• Assess the profitability of businesses, investments and strategic initiatives
• Support the Board in economic and financial decisions by preparing well-founded analyses and recommendations
• Support commercial negotiations by analyzing payment terms, guarantees and credit exposure
• Manage the Group’s liquidity and ensure appropriate treasury planning
• Coordinate cash flow forecasts and financing requirements
• Oversee central payment processes
• Ensure efficient financial centralization across the Group’s different companies
• Manage relationships with financial institutions
• Negotiate and monitor credit lines, financing agreements and other financial instruments
• Monitor compliance with contractual terms and related covenants
• Assess the financial impact of investments and strategic projects
• Participate in identifying and assessing acquisition, partnership or investment opportunities
• Conduct financial analyses, due diligence and valuation exercises
• Support negotiation, financing and integration processes for completed transactions
• Prepare information to support the Group’s growth and development decisions
• Coordinate financial reporting and consolidation processes
• Work closely with the accounting and tax teams
• Promote improvements to financial processes, internal controls and management reporting
• Monitor the development of financial information systems and their integration with other areas
• Coordinate the central finance and treasury team
• Provide functional support to local finance teams
• Implement policies, procedures and closing calendars for the Group’s different entities

Требования

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance or a similar field
• postgraduate studies or a Master’s degree will be valued
• At least 7 years of professional experience in finance roles
• At least 3 years of experience in Financial Management, Management Control or equivalent roles in multi-company business groups
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, management control, treasury and financing
• Knowledge of financial statement consolidation and the Portuguese accounting framework
• Experience creating data models and management dashboards to support decision-making
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting and analysis tools
• Strong analytical skills and a business-oriented mindset
• High level of autonomy, decision-making ability and pragmatism
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Board, financial partners and internal stakeholders
• Availability for occasional travel

• Experience with financial institutions and negotiations, as well as supporting M&A transactions, due diligence or investment valuations, will be valued
