Job summary

Kardex Remstar is seeking a Finance professional for the Nordic region based in Lisbon. You will manage accounts payable, closing, reporting and controlling tasks, partnering with Nordic stakeholders to drive financial insights and improvements.

The role requires a university degree in finance and Nordic-language proficiency, with travel across Nordic countries and a focus on process optimization and ERP enhancements.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• Profound experience in finance, controlling, accounting or financial business partnering in a Nordic country.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance management skills.
• Solid accounting knowledge including closing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience with end-to-end finance processes and ERP systems; S4Hana a plus.
• Fluent Swedish or Danish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of finance processes from accounting to month-end closing, including reporting, analysis and forecasting.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance and strong financial controls.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial performance, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Act as a trusted finance partner to Nordic managers and translate data into business actions.
• Build relationships across countries and functions to support decision making.

For our Finance department, we are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague to strengthen our driven Nordics team - located in Lisbon! With your expertise and commitment, you ensure sustainable relationships and satisfied customers, who can always count on you for the best advice! The candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable cycle and general accounting activities, contributing to the periodic closing processes, tax compliance, and reporting to the parent company as well as performing all Controlling activities including reporting and month's end closing according to the local GAAP of the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland). You will be located to our Kardex Business Service office newly established office near Parque das Nações / Oriente in Lisbon.

Your tasks

Financial Management & Controlling

• Take ownership of Finance processes, from accounting activities and month-end closing to reporting, analysis and forecasting.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance and effective financial controls.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial performance, identify deviations and recommend actions to improve results.

Business Partnering

• Act as a trusted Finance partner to managers across the Nordic organization.
• Provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and help translate financial data into business actions.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across countries and functions.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate Finance processes.
• Contribute to ERP implementations and Finance system improvements.
• Explore digital solutions, including automation and AI-based tools, to improve efficiency and quality.
• Help shape the future Nordic Finance operating model with a focus on continuous improvement and value creation.

Your profile

• A university degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Profund experience within finance, controlling, accounting or financial business partnering within a Nordic country.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance management.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including financial closing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience working in a broad Finance role with end-to-end process responsibility.
• Experience working with ERP systems (S4Hana would be a plus) and modern Finance tools.
• Fluency in Swedish or Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Nordic region.
