Job summary

Gea Group seeks a Field Service Technician based in Beja or surrounding areas to support customers across Portugal and Spain. You will perform on-site service interventions, diagnose mechanical faults, and maintain equipment while visiting customer facilities and the Olive Oil Center of Excellence in Úbeda, Spain.

Requirements include a Vocational Training Degree in mechatronics/automation/robotics or related field, 3+ years in field service or industrial maintenance, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Residence in Beja or surrounding areas is mandatory.
• Mechatronics/Automation/Robotics/Mechanical Engineering vocational qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years of field service or industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel Mon-Fri.
• Portuguese and Spanish language skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service interventions at customer sites across Portugal and Spain.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and assemble industrial equipment.
• Provide technical advice on operation, maintenance and optimization.
• Prepare technical service reports and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Support improvements and modifications in extraction lines.
