Metyis is growing and seeks a Data Science Associate to join the Data and Analytics team in Porto. You will translate business problems into analytical solutions, build and deploy ML models, and leverage cloud platforms to scale data processing.

The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams and a strong foundation in Python, PySpark, and ML tooling. You will work in a fast‑growing, international environment, with opportunities to drive impactful change across Operations, Finance

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, preferably in retail or e‑commerce.
• A master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of an ML solution from problem framing to production deployment and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with MLflow, Git, and MLOps frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, especially with Databricks, data pipelines, and model hosting.
• Good understanding of data warehousing and SQL querying.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts (experiment design, hypothesis testing, p-values).
• Experience or strong interest in Generative AI applications is a plus.
• Exposure to Reinforcement Learning concepts is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct advanced data analysis focused on Operations, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Translate business problems into analytical solutions from requirement gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Build, deploy, and maintain ML models (e.g., churn, CLV, segmentation, personalization) using modern MLOps frameworks.
