Metyis is recruiting a data science professional for its fast-growing, international team in Porto. You will translate business problems into analytical solutions, develop and deploy ML models, and use Databricks and cloud platforms for scalable processing.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business units and a strong emphasis on data-driven decisions. Bring 3-5 years of data science experience, a master’s degree in a quantitative field, and fluency in English.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, ideally in retail or e-commerce.
• Proven ability to manage full lifecycle of ML solutions from problem to deployment and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with MLflow, Git, and MLOps frameworks.
• Strong Python programming with pandas/NumPy and PySpark; solid SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Databricks for data processing.
• Good communication skills and ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; experience in international environments is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct advanced data analysis focused on Operations, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Translate business problems into analytical solutions from requirements to deployment.
• Build, deploy, and maintain ML models using modern MLOps frameworks.
• Leverage Databricks, Azure or similar cloud infrastructure for scalable processing.
• Apply statistical methods to validate performance and drive actionable insights.
• Communicate findings through storytelling and visualizations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to customer-centric strategies.
• Support team development through knowledge sharing in an agile environment.
