NTU International A/S is seeking a Key Expert in Energy Efficiency for a project in North Macedonia aimed at enhancing energy policy and capacity. The expert will support project implementation over a 42-month term beginning on 1 December 2026.

The ideal candidate should possess at least a Master's degree or a Bachelor's plus relevant experience, with strong proficiency in English (C1) and 8-10 years in the energy sector.

Qualificações

• Minimum Masters in a directly related discipline, or Bachelor in the same field plus four years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English, corresponding to level C1.
• Minimum 8 but preferably 10 years of professional experience in a field related to energy.

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Strengthened strategic, institutional, and operational capacity for effective energy policy in response to the climate change in North Macedonia and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to sustainable economic development of North Macedonia.

Location: North Macedonia.

Duration: The intended start date is 1 December 2026 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 42 months from this date.

Key Expert: Expert in Energy Efficiency

Minimum Qualifications and skills:

• Minimum Masters in a directly related discipline, or Bachelor in the same field plus four years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English, corresponding to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• Minimum 8 but preferably 10 years of professional experience in a field related to energy.
• Experience in at least 3 assignments related to, inter alia, energy efficiency in areas such as legislative and institutional framework, national and/or municipal energy efficiency plans, renovation strategies, public buildings renovation, monitoring and verification systems, energy efficiency obligation schemes, energy audits and management systems, financial mechanisms and incentives, energy performance of buildings, energy performance certificates, district heating modernization, energy demand-side management.
• Experience on assignments in EU MS bodies or other contracting parties of the Energy Community Treaty, will be considered an advantage.
