Overview

Vila Joya, a charming home of 15 rooms and suites that combines elegant accommodations with exceptional restaurant venues, is searching for an experienced Front Office Manager. This key role requires a dynamic and strong leader to guide the reception team, who are responsible not only for guest check-ins and check-outs and ensure an exceptional stay but also for welcoming and coordinating reservations for our restaurants. As the “heart” of our home, the Front Office Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding guest experience to both hotel residents and restaurants guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide, inspire, and support the front office team to create a welcoming and seamless experience for every guest.
  • Lead reception activities, guest check-ins/outs, and ensure a high standard of guest service.
  • Coordinate reservations and host services for all restaurant venues in addition to hotel front desk processes.
  • Oversee guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and efficiency, maintaining discretion and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ensure the team adheres to high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability to a varied, high-end clientele.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in a Front Office Manager role, ideally in a boutique hotel or similar hospitality setting.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and in a second language (Portuguese or German). Proficiency in any other language is an asset.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to guide and motivate a close-knit team.
  • Strong guest-relations and communication skills, with the ability to handle inquiries gracefully and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage hotel front desk processes and oversee reservations and host services for all restaurants.
  • Attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset to ensure every guest feels at home.
