Job summary

ADM is seeking curious engineering graduates for the European Operations Traineeship in Murtede, Portugal. You will join experienced teams and rotate through operations, gaining hands-on experience in production, safety and continuous improvement.

The two-year program offers hands-on training, mentoring, and potential international rotations across ADM locations in Europe. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required, with mobility encouraged for career development.

Qualifications

• Recent engineering graduate with 0–2 years of work experience.
• University degree in general engineering, process, mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Ability to communicate confidently with colleagues at different levels and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Gain technical knowledge of operational processes and production environments.
• Establish an internal network and build relationships across teams and departments.
• Understand how the organization operates and how departments connect to support operations.
• Develop and practice people management skills.
• Learn about Continuous Improvement within the Performance Excellence program.
• Contribute to and support a strong safety culture.
